Keeping a healthy daily active routine does not have to be stressful or tiring. It can start from simple household activities such as gardening or planting.
Keeping active can become a nuisance when you’re busy, stressed and have been living in a global pandemic for the past year. Some people associate trying to keep fit with an unpleasant feeling of exhaustion or lack of free time. Keeping active doesn’t have to mean going out and running as if your life depends on it. Nor does it have to mean hiking for 3 hours. Gardening or planting in your own home is a great hobby to have you moving around.

A fun way to keep yourself active is gardening. Even if you don’t live in a house with a garden, or have limited space, you can clear some sunny spots for a few potted plants. The secret to finding satisfaction given by plants is to plant them yourself. From vegetables to herbs, plants, or flowers, the possibilities when starting your planting journey are far from limited.

No one truly knows if plants are simple or complicated. Some can be complex, and adjust their mood according to the atmosphere in the house or the love they receive. What is important is that the active part of gardening or planting doesn’t stop once your seeds are buried under that dirt. Watering the plants, weeding them and even wiping their leaves of dust can become part of your daily active routine, relieving you of your stress.

Succulents are a popular choice for people who like keeping plants around. In order to properly take care of them, you have to make sure they have enough sunlight. Succulents retain water differently according to the season. In spring and summer, they drink up much more water than in the colder seasons. Keeping them clean by dusting them is also recommended. By the time you go around the house making sure your succulents are happy, you will have completed your daily activity goals!
